According to the patch notes, Forza Horizon 5's December 3rd update made improvements to the game's stability, various online multiplayer modes, accolades system, as well as patching out some exploits. However, the update has seemingly introduced a few more bugs to the game, and now players are complaining of new crashes, long loading times, strange graphical issues, and more. With so much variety when it comes to multiplayer modes, there really is something for everyone to enjoy in Forza Horizon 5. And as someone who tends to shy away from this side of games more often than not, I'm pleasantly surprised by just how much I enjoy racing my way through challenges against other players in the latest racing adventure. Despite some bumps in the road with server issues that Playground Games has been addressing in recent months, I've had an absolute blast with the multiplayer modes. I can hardly wait to take on the Eliminator again… hopefully, someday I'll finally be the last driver remaining.
One of the year's biggest games is Forza Horizon 5, a critically-acclaimed open-world racing title from the talented team at Playground Games. While the game is beloved and relatively polished overall, its various online portions have come under fire from the FH5 community for instability, frequent bugs, and other issues preventing a great multiplayer experience. The latest effort from Playground to fix these issues is the newly released Dec. 14, 2021 hotfix update for Forza Horizon 5, which is rolling out now on all platforms. While I've actually been enjoying the online multiplayer races and modes on my own with random players, there's nothing quite like playing with friends or family.
I was first introduced to the Forza Horizon series thanks to my dad, and we've long since bonded over each entry. We decided to work together to complete several of the festival playlist goals in Forza Horizon 5 and to try out some of the modes we hadn't dipped into on our own. The Eliminator is Playground Games' take on Battle Royale, where you drive within an ever-shrinking area of the world map. By finding car drops to switch up your wheels, you take on head-to-head races against other players and try to stay within the zone to make it to the final round. It's a very entertaining, car-appropriate twist on the massively popular multiplayer mode, and I'm continually surprised by just how much I enjoy it. You see, I'll be the first to admit that I don't handle online multiplayer games all that well.
I tend to find them quite intimidating, and I've always leaned towards single-player experiences. But the Forza series has always been a bit of an exception in this regard, and I've been having the best time putting the pedal to the medal in Forza Horizon 5's multiplayer modes. The first Forza Horizon 5 hotfix update did bring noticeable improvements to the overall experience, especially with online, but there was still a lot of problems that needed resolving.
This patch update certainly won't be the last bug fixing release for FH5, but it does include a larger number of changes and tweaks for areas of the game like stability, online multiplayer, cars and audio, and Accolades. Playground Games is the developer of this game and Microsoft Studios is the publisher of this game. This update is available for different platforms such as Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. You can enjoy playing this racing game solo ow with your friends. The Xbox One gaming console has received updates from Microsoft since its launch in 2013 that enable it to play select games from its two predecessor consoles, Xbox and Xbox 360.
On June 15, 2015, backward compatibility with supported Xbox 360 games became available to eligible Xbox Preview program users with a beta update to the Xbox One system software. The dashboard update containing backward compatibility was released publicly on November 12, 2015. On October 24, 2017, another such update added games from the original Xbox library.
The Xbox Series X/S was released in 2020 and was confirmed to be backwards compatible with the same list of games as the Xbox One at launch. On November 15, 2021, a "final addition" of 76 titles was published as part of the 20th anniversary of the launch of the original Xbox console. The following is a list of all backward compatible games on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S under this functionality.
This update is relatively minor, but still includes several important fixes targeting the areas players have expressed frustration, including online matchmaking, convoys, and traffic cars. There are also improvements to stability and crashes, which worsened after the Dec. 3, 2021 patch update earlier this month. The Dec. 7, 2021 hotfix did fix the most critical flaw of that larger patch update, but this hotfix aims to resolve even more. Forza Horizon 5 has been a critical success for the Forza racing series, developer Playground Games, and the Xbox platform in 2021. Since the game's release, many players have reported on a variety of bugs and glitches affecting gameplay, game features and other miscellaneous issues, including server instability.
Playground Games has acknowledged this particular issue and said it has been working on a fix over the weekend. There have also been reports of frequent crashes when starting races, long load times when entering and exiting homes/festival sites and photo mode, and unresponsive controllers. Forza Horizon 5 has actually been one of the most stable and polished "AAA" gaming experiences released in 2021, but its online portions and game modes have still been plagued with a plethora of bugs and issues. Playground Games is dedicated to continually improving Forza Horizon 5 over time with new updates and additions, which starts with ensuring the game is as smooth as possible.
On Friday, Playground released a new Forza Horizon 5 patch update, with plenty of fixes the community has been waiting on for weeks. However, there are a number of issues players are experiencing since its release. At its press briefing for E on June 9, 2019, Microsoft announced its future gaming console, Xbox Series X, scheduled for release for the 2020 holiday season. One of the Series X's features will include full backward compatibility with all Xbox One titles and the list of Original Xbox and Xbox 360 titles currently available. As Microsoft's future events were directed towards the new platform, additional efforts to bring original Xbox and Xbox 360 titles to Xbox One were stopped. This was meant to set a fixed target for testing of backward compatibility titles for the Xbox Series X as to make sure their full library was ready in time for launch.
In our Forza Horizon 5 review, we concluded that FH5 is already one of the best Xbox racing games you can play, and this will only become more true over time. FH5 hasn't been free of bugs and issues, but Playground Games has been transparent about working on the various problems. Forza Horizon 4 Update 1.460 is out and the players are very excited to know the changes made with this update. This update has made a lot of changes in the game and available for different platforms. The complete patch notes of this update will help you to explore the changes and fixes made with this patch.
We have the complete list of this latest patch notes for all platforms. This update is about fixing all the irritation bugs of this game. The event itself appears on the map as pink circles you need to drive into, and the session will kick off after a timer winds down. While the Arcade mode is a great cooperative experience that's a lot of fun to jump into when you're playing with pals, I've also found it to be a great place to meet other drivers when I'm playing solo. Overall, my reaction to the Forza Horizon 4 upgrade for Series consoles is mixed.
However, it can't be right that a next-gen upgrade should compromise on visual features when we know the hardware is capable of more. We did share our findings with Microsoft as soon we saw that something was amiss - and we're told that SSAO may well be back in the first title update. With a studio as talented as Panic Button on development duties, I remain hopeful that Series X and S will deliver the definitive Forza Horizon 4 console experience in the fullness of time - with no compromises. Recently, the developers released another important patch for the game.
You will see that with Forza Horizon 4 Update 1.415, the developers added a Promo Quickshot button, which allows you to add cars to your promo collection much faster. They also challenged you to drive the Warthog in an autumnal rainstorm, fixed an Issue with players being unable switch Star Card flairs, and more. By May 2020, as the Xbox Series X was nearing release, Microsoft announced they were seeking further requests from players of what games to expand their backward compatibility library with.
The functionality is similar to that for back-compatibility with Xbox 360 games. Users insert the Xbox game disc into their Xbox One console to install the compatible version of the game. While players are not able to access any old game saves or connect to Xbox Live on these titles, system link functions will remain available.
Xbox games do not receive achievement support, although when asked about this component, Spencer responded that they had nothing to announce at the current time. There's also a mode called Playground Games, which offers up a variety of different competitive minigames. With the likes of Flag Rush, Infected, Survival, and Team Crown, these quick-fire games see two teams compete to earn the most points. A playlist party event took me and my dad through each game in succession, and we really got to put some of our teamwork and tactics into play – especially when we dived into Flag Rush. One side has to pick up flags and successfully secure them by driving into a designated zone, while the opposing team has to essentially crash into the opposing cars to take away their flag before they can reach the area.
When it came to stopping the other team, we worked together to cover two different sides of the zone and stop as many drivers from reaching the goal as possible. The Festival Playlist is another area of concern that's being addressed. Some players are having issues being able to complete challenges and objectives, and today's Steam Community announcement implies that some changes are coming on this front. Furthermore, Playground Games is looking into a way to retroactively award points for bugged Daily Challenges and Treasure Hunt Events from Series 1 and Series 2.
A new Forza Horizon 5 patch is available today for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The update fixes some of the crash issues, exploits, multiplayer improvements and more. My biggest problem here is that overall, the visuals simply don't look as good as the 4K30 quality mode on Xbox One X.
The new update has been released today, April 16th, and players can now get the latest patch by opening the game on their system. The main highlight of the update is to fix the issues appearing on the crossplay feature of the game. You can also look forward to new challenges, events, and cosmetics for your avatar. Most unique will be the gifting challenge, which will reward all players with an exclusive outfit and secret car if enough people give each other goodies. But hey, enough of my preamble, you can check out the full Let's Go! Playground Games has delivered their latest masterpiece with Forza Horizon 5, which features the series' most diverse map and largest car list yet.
Forza Horizon 5 somehow fulfills its ambitious promises to be the best open-world racer right now, and one of the best racing games in general. In our Forza Horizon 5 review, we concluded that Playground Games has delivered the unchallenged champion of open-world racers, and is the quintessential choice on our list of best Xbox racing games. If you want to learn more about this excellent game and everything it has to offer, be sure to check out our ultimate guide to Forza Horizon 5. This isn't all that being worked on, mind; Playground Games notes that there are "many more issues" that are being worked on behind the scenes.
Unfortunately, we don't yet know which of these problems will be tackled in the nextForza Horizon 5update or when that update will launch. For now, there's still a ton of great content to enjoy in this new racing game -- you can buyForza Horizon 5for PC and consoles via its official website starting at $59.99 or your regional equivalent. Relentlessly engineered for the perfect driving experience, Driving Force by Logitech G takes the latest racing games to the highest level. You simply haven't experienced racing simulation if you haven't grabbed your supercar by the wheel.
Forza Horizon 5 is a fantastic game, but bugs and issues have somewhat marred the overall experience for some players, and it's a shame that the new update didn't alleviate these problems. We expect Playground Games is working on a patch to fix all of the new issues that have cropped up since rolling out the last update, and it will hopefully be available for download soon. If we hear anything more from the developer, we'll be sure to update you. Since the December update, players have been noticing that when entering races, changing cars, or even fast traveling between locations, the loading time has extended significantly. In rare cases, fans have also reported that the loading gets stuck and automatically crashes the game. According to the post, the developer was able to reduce the install footprint for Forza Horizon 5 on the Xbox Series X/S consoles by optimizing the game's assets for higher bandwidth streaming.
This means that the game will have a shorter download mixed with "super-fast" loading times, which will allow players to easily jump right into the game. The post states that this was possible due to the high-speed internal SSD storage available on Xbox Series X/S consoles. Squeeze in a fun, quick one-minute race, or dive into immersive story driven events with multiple paths to victory in the cars you love. New controls let you easily race with the tap of a finger to control your gas, brake, and boost.
Forza Street has something fun for you any time you feel like racing at high speed and boosting across the finish line to victory. During Microsoft's E press conference on June 11, 2017, Microsoft announced that roughly 50% of Xbox One users had played an Xbox 360 game on Xbox One through the system's backward-compatibility feature. Based on popular demand, Phil Spencer, Microsoft's Head of Xbox, announced that Xbox One consoles would be able to play select games made for the original Xbox console, first released in 2001. The compatibility works on all consoles in the Xbox One family, including the Xbox One X, and was made available as a free update in the fall of 2017. There are several issues that are said to be fixed in the next update.
Fans have been reporting audio issues including crackling, their graphics settings being reset when they start the game and network issues that prevent them from entering online races. But the bigger item here is specific changes to the convoy system, where errors have been afflicting players since release. FH5's version of a party, or lobby, sometimes joining a friend in a convoy simply wouldn't work, other times cars would randomly disappear. In the meantime, the Playground Games development team issued a statement with the priority fixes it is working on, this being one of them. One problem currently plaguing the game refers to a bug affecting convertible cars. This game also feature the route creator that will enable the players o create their own races. You can also enjoy playing this game in offline mode without any internet connection. It also features the dynamic weather system that will cause the change of season.
I'm very fortunate that I only occasionally need subtitles to fully enjoy games, but accessibility in games is an ongoing issue and still under-addressed in 2021. There are other issues too - like the fact that third-person driver models update their animations at 30fps on Series consoles, while everything else runs at 60fps. This is not an issue with Playground's original code, as the PC version runs these animations at the correct frame-rate.
